Travels Far & Near

These were some of the places I have trekked with my husband Ron. In Alaska we travelled over the Atigan Pass to the Brooks Range mountains and the North Slope 100 miles from Deadhorse on the Arctic ocean. The Aurora Borealis was seen in Fairbanks. We trekked around the Annapurna Range in the Himalayas as well as  staying in and around Kathmandu, then later in The Chitwan National Park. The largest in Asia. In Australia we travelled from Melbourne in the south up the east Coast to Cairns, where we white water rafted along the Barron River, then swam on the outer edges of The Great Barrier Reef. In Peru we travelled along the Pacific coast then to Lake Titicaca (12,000ft above sea level) and on to trek the Inka Trail to Machu Picchu. In the UK, Cumbria is a favourite, Striding Edge on the Hellvellyn range is challenging.  Blea Tarn in the Langdales is serene, quiet and quite beautiful.
